There are many reasons a person should go to a church that preaches and promotes the practice of personal holiness through life in the Spirit. Here are a few.

Life in the Spirit is not life in the flesh. Though we are in the body (physical flesh), we are not in the flesh (carnal mind, or mind of the flesh).
Life in the Spirit is ceasing from life in the flesh (carnal), life in the natural, life in the self.
Instead life in the Spirit is life in the holy and eternal, life in the miraculous, life in the presence, power, purpose of God, by the Person of the Holy Spirit.
Life in the Spirit is not being oppressed by rules and regulations, it is being delivered by the reign of God and the rule of love.
Life in the Spirit is not motivation by the "oughtas" of law, but motivation by the "wanna's" of love and liberty.
Life in the Spirit is not the pressure of saving ourselves by our good works, it is the presence of God that saves us to do good works.
Life in the Spirit is not forced servitude to laws by legalism, it is surrendered service to God by love.
Life in the Spirit is not us struggling with inner conflict, it is God delivering from double mindedness when we have the mind of Christ.
Life in the Spirit is not a matter of a good tree trying to bear good fruit, it is a matter of a good tree bearing good fruit because that is what good trees do.
Life in the Spirit is not doing evil and then calling it good, life in the Spirit is hearing the call of God to follow Jesus and then being conformed to the image of Jesus.
Life in the Spirit is ceasing from the self life and living the selfless life.

One of the biggest barriers that keeps people from accepting and accessing Life in the Spirit is the fact that it is MIRACULOUS. The phrase, "Life in the Spirit" is not just a pious platitude, it is God's supernatural enabling and leading of a surrendered believer. And, since most people choose to live in the realm of the natural, rather than the light and power of God, very few people live their lives in the Spirit.
Life in the Spirit is not lived by those who only have a past tense experience with God, or a head knowledge of God, or a strictly emotional relationship with God, or a casual commitment to God.
Life in the Spirit is the life of victory lived by a follower of Christ, who has not only been born again (born of God, born of the Spirit), but a person who has died to sin and self, and is now presently walking in obedience to God's leading.
