10/16/14 ADDRESSING CURRENT TRENDS

I thought Bible study was good last night. With all of the obvious attacks on Christian values and the major changes in the moral climate of our country, I try to prepare our children for the assault against their faith and morals, which they will encounter in today's world.

IF IT HAD BEEN ADAM AND STEVE, THERE WOULD BE NO GENDER CONFUSION TODAY.
The anti-Bible, Leftist view of life is mounting a bolder and more constant attack on basic Biblical truths. For instance, the idea of gender confusion was promoted through "Purple Penguin" and "Unisex Toilets" in our country this week. I reminded everyone that God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. I pointed out that if God had created Adam and Steve we would not be having any problems concerning same gender relations... BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE NO ONE TO HAVE THE DISCUSSION. DUHHH. Men do not produce babies with other men, and women do not produce babies with other women, throughout the entire history of the human race. Male and Female was God's idea from the beginning and anything contrary to it is a rejection of God and nature. READ THE BIBLE. Oh, BELIEVE THE BIBLE TOO.

I pointed out that the devil wants to confuse people about God's order of male and female, and I told them that God's word is our Tuning Fork. I explained what a tuning fork is and what it does. Though the conditions of life may cause people to change their view of family, the Bible provides the unchanging note of truth.

I then told them that there are two essential elements in successful Christian living: #1 Being filled with the Holy Spirit and #2 Being filled with the Word of Christ. This is based on Ephesians 5:18-19 (the Holy Spirit) and Colossians 3:16 (the Word of Christ). Being filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word of Christ are the two sides to the same subject. We cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit if we will not be filled with the Word of Christ, and vice versa.

I also pointed out that we can know we are Christians because of the witness, testimony of the Holy Spirit. 2 Timothy 2:19 says that the seal, God's authentication that a person is a Christians is that they have DEPARTED FROM INIQUITY. This is part of the way the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God (Ro. 8:16).

There was much more I addressed, and the children were very involved.
