09/15/14 The Twofold Deliverance From Sin, And How It Makes A Difference

The whole world needs this.

#1 Not only are new converts partakers of Divine nature, we put on the New Man when we, as sinners, believe on Christ and we are born again (born of the Spirit), which delivers us from sinning (1 Jn. 3:9).

#2 We put off the Old Man when we, as believers, know that we were crucified with Christ (Ga. 6:14) and we become pure, even as Christ is pure (1 Jn. 3:3), which delivers us from the carnal nature and carnal life (Ga. 5:24-25).

The Difference It Makes.
When we get a new nature we have the desire and the ability to do the will of God.

When we get rid of the old nature we no longer have the internal resistance to godliness and inclination to sin.

With complete deliverance from sin we deny ourselves and give preference to others before ourselves.

We become sensitive, compassionate, humble, forgiving, supportive.
We also become strong, resilient, consistent.
We will go out of our way to benefit others.
We will be quick to right a wrong.
We will humble ourselves and seek reconciliation with those we have hurt or have wronged.

When we are born of the Spirit and filled with the Spirit we will walk in the Spirit and not walk in the flesh.
We will have the mind of Christ.
We will seek things above and not things of the earth.
