01/20/14 HOLINESS MAKES YOU PRETTIER...

01/20/14 HOLINESS MAKES YOU PRETTIER...

As we get older, our face, our countenance tends to reveal the attitude we have had throughout life. A life of anger, fretfulness, jealousy, suspicion, as well as being judgmental and self righteous, displays itself on a face carved with worry, antagonism, hatred, dissatisfaction.

Allow the principles of godliness (faith, forgiveness, kindness, patience, joy, peace, love) to start working early in your life, and then be faithful to respond with the grace of God to each adversity you encounter.

Let the presence of the Holy Spirit lift up your countenance and keep your soul wrinkle free.

Matthew 6:16-17

(16) Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
(17) But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

Our Inner Man...
Ephesians 5:27

(27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

2 Peter 3:13-14
(13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
(14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Psalms 29:2
(2) Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
