The Scripture says, "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
Do not presume on the grace of God, but
Focus on Jesus, lest you fail of the grace of God.
Give constant attention and submission to the will of God.
Build yourself up on your most holy faith.
Walk in the light, as He is in the light.
Grow in grace and knowledge.
Deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow Him.
Do the right thing when you know the right thing to do, lest you sin.
Trust, meditate, praise, pray, obey.
These are the things that God requires of us. It is not "works salvation," it is salvation that works. Whatever your theology, presumption is not faith.
Philippians 2:12-13
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
