12/16/14 WHAT TIME IS IT?
I place things, like phone and bottled water, on the table next to my bed, so that I can retrieve them safely in the dark. I reach for them without opening my eyes, since it is too dark to see. I recently grabbed the water bottle with eyes closed, thinking it was still before daylight. However, I opened my eyes and looked, and to my surprise light was already squeezing through the shade. I could see.
I thought: there are people groping in the darkness of sin, when all they need to do is LOOK. God has caused the light to shine around us. God will give sight to blinded eyes. But those who refuse to open their eyes will never see; those who refuse to look will die in their sins. God provides us the light. God calls us to the light. God enables us to look. But God allows us decide. People refuse to look to Jesus because they prefer the darkness, because their deeds are evil and they prefer sin over salvation.
