12/09/14 A Sad Beginning but God's Provision

God's first human son took his inheritance and squandered it by choosing rebellion (disdaining God).

But God manifested His mercy and grace by,
* seeking fallen Adam,
* giving disobedient Adam opportunity to confess his sin,
* providing covering for Adam's nakedness and shame,
* instituting and introducing His sacrifice of blood to redeem Adam's estranged family,
* promising the Conquering Seed;

Then Adam's firstborn son, Cain
* rejected the way of salvation (disdaining faith),
* chose anger, jealousy, pride.

But God extended to Cain,
* kindness, mercy and hope.

Then Cain killed Abel, his redeemed and godly brother.

But God gave Cain protection.

Then Cain, the firstborn son of the first created man, became the progenitor of,
* the first double murderer (disdaining life),
* the first bigamist (disdaining marriage),
* a totally apostate linage,
* which God destroyed with the flood.

But God kept His promised Seed viable,
* through Seth, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, Mary.

All of us have sinned, and the wages of sin is death.

But God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Follow the flesh to futility and fatality.
Or believe and receive the Son, and walk in the Spirit and be saved.
