11/21/14 GOD IN CHARGE?

11/21/14 GOD IN CHARGE?

Consider the attitudes that people have to the rule of God in their lives.

Most people are rushing away from the rule and morality of God as fast as they can.
Some are easing away from God's rule at a more moderate speed.
Some are trying to stretch the tether as far as they can without breaking faith with God.
Some are forcing themselves into a life of moral subjection, but only because they know outward disobedience indicates inward rebellion.

There are some people who actually love God and want to keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

I did not even mention the group that believes that they cannot obey God,
because they don't believe God separates believers from sin, or the group that believes it is not essential to obey God because they don't believe that sin separates believers from God.

God says,
John 14:15

(15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21
(21) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23-24
(23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
(24) He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 15:10
(10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:14
(14) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

1 John 2:3-4
(3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
(4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 3:22
(22) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2
(2) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3
(3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 22:14
(14) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
