If you don't make the daily commitments, sacrifices, investments in a relationship (with God, family, church), the losses may be imperceptible at the beginning, but they will accumulate until they become evident.
If the flaws of a relationship are not corrected quickly, the flaws will become the expected, rather than the exceptional characteristics of a stale and stalled relationship. Without a dramatic, crises reaction to a failing and sickly relationship, the brokenness will appear to become an uncrossable and forbidding chasm of hopeless normality.
It takes Divine blessing and human endeavor to obtain and retain and maintain a healthy and happy relationship. It takes total surrender and miraculous intervention to regain a lost relationship. Do not neglect the treasure of a right relationship. It will be infinitely costly.
