In behalf of Bible believing/living Christians (which are the only real Christians anyway), you are welcome world. Not only did Bible believing, Christ followers NOT kill anyone in any religious or "holy" war scenario (including The Crusades), it was Bible believing, Christ followers that brought about the most extensive abolishing of world wide slavery in the shortest period of time, in the history of the world.
Not to mention that it was the followers of Christ who led the way in prison reform, at a time when women (who were arrested for minor violations, including religious activities), were thrown into jail with male and female criminals of the most vicious and putrid crimes in society. These women were not only violated, their children also lived with them while incarcerated. BIBLE BELIEVING, CHRIST FOLLOWERS changed this atrocity.
Christians were also key figures in reforming the conditions and practices of medical and mental health institutions (long before Dorothea Dix).
The evangelistic fervor of Christ followers has taken medicine, education, vocational training, physical hygiene, water purification, agricultural training and countless other humanitarian services to the peoples of the world. They did this for the love of Christ and their fellow man. They did not do it to get rich or to make a name for themselves. And mostly, they have risked health, family, limb and life, as they took the message of salvation to a hostile and vile world.
This service and message has transformed men, women, boys, girls, communities, societies and nations. It is when people reject the message and Christ of the Bible that confusion and corruption sets in. Without those who have believed the message of the Bible, our world would be worse off than the sickest hell hole in the world today.
