08/25/14 Bad News and Good News

THE BAD NEWS IS that this world, under its own steam, will fail in every area of human need, through Government, Economics and Religion. The best that this world will be able to do is delude people with a false hope. You can thank the rejectors of Christ for the coming collapse. As human rebellion increases against God, troubles will escalate. Even as things get worse, people will continue to harden their hearts and minds against God, the same as Pharaoh did when he resisted the word of Moses, which resulted in the Ten Plagues of Egypt. The difference between the day of Moses and the end times is that the suffering of the unrighteous will never end.

THE GOOD NEWS IS
that God will have the last word. He has a plan of redemption for everyone who is willing to turn from sin and trust in Him. He has not promised to deliver all Bible believing Christians from all trouble and trial. In fact He said that we would be hated, rejected, persecuted and killed. However, the suffering of the believer will come to an end and we will live in peace and power forever.

Just as in the days of Noah, people will scoff at the preachers of righteousness, saying that things won't be that bad or saying that we will save ourselves. But, just as those people were wrong, so will those who reject God's loving, merciful and gracious invitation to believe on Christ.

It is up to you.
God wants you to believe and be saved; Satan wants you to resist and be lost. God gives you the power of self determination. Either believe, to the saving of your soul, or disbelieve your way into an eternity of darkness and suffering.

I know this is simple gospel for those who know the Bible, but I am just trying to help my unsaved friends see that the Bible offers hope in a world that is going crazy. In today's volatile politics, eroding morality and religious confusion, I am just pointing out the trustworthiness of the Bible and inviting folks to surrender to Jesus fully. There are no regrets when we trust Christ.
