08/09/14 LEARN THE TRUTH WHILE YOU CAN
If you think, "Islam is peaceful and loving and Muslims worship the same God that Christians worship," then I challenge you to learn the truth before it is too late.
Islam was born in the blood of its victims. Christianity was born in the blood of Christ, God's sacrifice for the sins of the world.
Islam has been propagated for almost 1400 years by killing Jews and Christians. This thing in Iraq, requiring Christians to either convert to Islam or pay a tax (which is often just a ploy), or die for their faith, is as old as Islam.
Christianity has been propagated for about 2000 years, by believers who spend their own lives in service to others, and invite non believers to receive Christ, by faith.
DO NOT CONFUSE ROMAN CATHOLICISM or any group that claims the name of Christ, but lives in resistance to the holy Lordship of Christ.
If you choose to reject the historic facts, go to various sites on the internet that show Muslim beheadings and executions, and try to think of Bible believing, Christ honoring Christians doing the same thing. IT CANNOT BE DONE.
"BUT," you say, "those are only Islamic radicals. They only represent about 10% of the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world."
Then where are the other 1 billion 440 million Muslims? They are guilty by consenting to the evil of Islam, they are guilty because they also denounce the Bible and the Christ of the Bible and the followers of Christ, they are guilty because they support the Islamic States in their terrorism.
Go ahead, pull up those videos of monsters killing women and children and defenseless men.
Why do I harp on this? Because the Bible forewarned us of such wickedness and because the Bible calls all men to turn from sin or suffer the same wrath of God that will fall on the butchers of Islam.
Yes, I laugh, I play, I enjoy family, friends, fishing, kayaking, but I am ever mindful of two things: the terrible toll that comes with resisting Christ's call to trust and follow Him, and the great gift of life that comes when we trust and follow Christ.
If you live in the West, you have enjoyed your years in lala land. But reality is banging on your door. Now is the accepted time, turn from sin and turn to Christ only as your Savior and God.
Someone asked a good question.
Basically, Why did I mention Roman Catholicism?
Here is a quick answer.
I mentioned Romanism because the Crusades is the first argument people bring up when they say that Christians have committed atrocities. I just try to squelch that futile argument from the outset of my statement.
The number of people killed by the Roman Catholic Church during the Crusades and their religious wars is many thousands. In fact, Bible believing, Christ following Christians get blamed for these and other persecutions instigated by Rome.
Other groups of Lutherans and Calvinists raised armies to fight each other and Roman Catholics and to persecute non-violent Bible believing Christians of that time. None of these groups were Bible believing or Christ following, though there were Christians who were part of these groups. The blood spilling conflict between Protestants and Roman Catholics in Ireland can be traced back to violence between them in the 1600's.
My point is, there is no such thing as a Christian holy war and there is no such thing as Christians violently attacking other people, either for their faith or for any other reason. The teachings of Jesus and the apostles and the examples of the New Testament believers is very clear.
I am not a "Catholic basher," though I do denounce the false doctrines of Rome (as well as other groups), but I love Catholic people. No one is saved because he is associated with any religious group. Salvation is a spiritual experience that transcends denominational lines and refuses to be owned by any one earthly group.
