07/31/14 ELEVEN WAYS TO DEAL WITH A MINEFIELD

07/31/14 ELEVEN WAYS TO DEAL WITH A MINEFIELD
(Ten fails and one success)

* Leave it alone. First, it could blow up in your own face and second, a minefield is a good way to deal with others who "invade" your space.

* Sow it with flower seeds. It will still be deadly, but won't it look nice? You need to be careful while sowing the seeds. I suggest you do it sparingly (for fear of self destruction); or scatter the seed from a distance.

* Warn people that there is danger of sudden explosions. You can post signs, hand out flyers, which tell people to stay away, then when they fall victim to sudden destruction, you can deny responsibility.

* Make a map, designating dangerous areas (if other people do not read the map or they do not know about the map, that is not your fault).

* Allow others (whether foe, family or friend) to trigger the explosive areas, and then blame the victim for being careless or for being antagonistic.

* Learn to live with the havoc that the mines cause, and just accept mayhem and suffering as a part of life.

* Deny that there are any mines, then blame other people for mutilating themselves when your mines explode.

* Keep a record of those who have suffered loss in your minefield, then tell others, so they will be careful (that is, careful not to disturb you).

* Ignore the mines in your minefield, and just accept the destruction that comes as being a part of life. You win some, and you lose some. It is not your fault.

*Try to disarm the mines yourself. Maybe step on them lightly, or try to dig them up carefully, though you do not have the equipment or the expertise in mine removal, and you don't know where they are actually located. (Oh, don't be surprised when one explodes, after you think you have disarmed them).

* Allow an expert to remove the mines, making your field a safe place for you and other people.

Footnote...
Be assured, the minefield of the carnal mind is destructive to self and to others, and the only effective way to deal with it is to let Jesus remove all sin from your heart.

The destructive mines that are hidden in our lives may be anger, violence, lust, greed, deceit and pride (among other attitudes). They tend to go off at the most inconvenient times. In fact, sometimes there seems to be no reason for them detonating. The only sure deliverance is the sanctifying work of grace that cleanses from all sin, in a moment, when self is unconditionally surrendered and the Holy Spirit is given total control.

Here is God's solution to the carnal ordinance that lies beneath the surface of your life. (It won't take long, read and think about this entire passage).

Romans 8:2-14
(2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
(3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
(4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(5) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
(6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
(9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
(10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
(12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
