06/27/14 CLAIM, DON'T BLAME

It is easier TO BLAME human frailty and failure than TO CLAIM Divine power and victory.

It is because ministers of the gospel choose to live shallow or rebellious lives that they want to diminish the importance of the call of God to special ministries and to turn from the authority that God gives them in their calling. They have a, "don't look at me" mentality.

It is because parishioners and congregations choose to live unsanctified and uncommitted lives that church attendance and church ministries are denigrated, even by the believers, to the extent that people are looking for "spirituality" outside of God's revealed plan. They have a, "the church is just sinners in search of God" mentality.

God's plan is still in effect, and that includes the leadership of God-called, Spirit filled, spiritually gifted, spiritually mature ministers in the local church. The Church is both universal and local. We cannot answer for the universal Church, but we are answerable for our own local church.

It is time for the Biblical view of the local church (congregation).
