Metaphor from sports
WELL, I learned something about a Pball rule today.
If your momentum carries you into the Non Volley Zone (The Kitchen), even after your shot has scored and the ball is dead, then it is still a violation.
I played a series of shots that maneuvered my worthy opponents to the sidelines and then I killed it down the wide open middle. I maintained balance outside of The Kitchen until the play was finished and then I allowed my momentum to carry me into the Non Volley Zone. VIOLATION
I not only lost the point, but since I was the second server on our team, we lost the serve. I really focused from that point on. Though we had been struggling with our very talented opponents up to this point, we scored about 8 points to their one point and easily dispatched them. It took me a few moments to regroup my thoughts, since I had violated a rule that I did not even know about. I hate failure and I hate to be the cause of losing.
Here is the thing... when you find out you have erred in judgment or action , shake it off and get back into the game (or if you have sinned, repent of the sin and walk in the light).

It does no good to whine about a lost point, a missed opportunity, a messed up situation.
It does no good to blame other people or fuss at inanimate objects.
Man-up and do the right thing.
