05/12/14 THE FOOLISHNESS OF EVOLUTION

05/12/14 THE FOOLISHNESS OF EVOLUTION

I was going to address the "Creation or Evolution" issue with my Adult Sunday School Class, but we combined with the children, because of circumstances. This was even better.

Each time I recount the evolutionary process I am amazed at how ridiculous, absurd, laughable it is. When children are given the opportunity to hear the evolutionary view, based on the "scientific" steps, they think it is silly (and they are right). But then, when I get to the end of the presentation, and point out the racial bigotry of evolution, I am appalled that any adult would choose to accept the notion that an African is the first step in the human line, and the progenitor of human civilization, which evolved from lower species.

On the other hand, there is nothing in the Bible that is absurd (unless you are a fool who does not believe in the creator God). The Bible clearly teaches that the plants and animals reproduced after their kind (species), and Adam was created by Divine fiat, giving all humans a common origin.

The Bible not only answers the questions about so-called "missing links" (nothing to something; something to plant life; plant life to animal life; animal life to human life); the Bible record maintains the dignity and integrity of all human beings, regardless of race.

(For those who are offended by my "fool" comment, consider these two thoughts:
Point 1, Modern science subscribes to naturalism, materialism, rationalism and empiricism, all of which in turn deny, the "super natural", the spirit or immaterial realm and Divine revelation.
Point 2, The Bible says the Fool has said in his heart that there is no God.

Therefore, those who subscribe to the modern scientific view are fools, because they deny the Super Natural, the Spiritual Realm and Divine revelation.

Now, where is the honesty in such a closed mind (Closed System)?

CONFUSION THROUGH TECHNICAL JARGON
The scientific community (as other elitist, technical groups) adds to and changes the meaning of terminology. This keeps the "laity" in deliberate ignorance (depending on expert guidance), and it avoids arguments which undermine their position.

For instance, there was a time when the taxonomic word, "species" and the Bible word, "kind" (as in Ge. 1 and 2) were used in the same way. However, the science community changed the meaning of the word, "species" and therefore when Christians used the term in the old (original and accepted sense), their arguments were misrepresented by the scientific community (which had become committed to naturalism, materialism, rationalism and empiricism), thus making Bible assertions appear to be fallacious.

Another trick is to use fuzzy thinking and doublespeak. If absolutes can be eliminated, then "is" can mean something besides "is."

Another problem that undermined the public's respect for Biblical authority was the misrepresentation that the Catholic Church imposed on Bible revelation. The Roman Church presented Roman views as if they were the word of God. When people saw through the error, they mistakenly blamed the Bible for the errors of the Vatican.
