04/26/14 PRAISE, THANKSGIVING AND ENCOURAGEMENT

04/26/14 PRAISE, THANKSGIVING AND ENCOURAGEMENT
The song says, "I woke up this morning feeling fine...," and I did. It is not so much physical (I have been worse and I have been better), but it is spiritual, and I give Him the praise.

Also, I woke up without being roused from sleep by one of those midnight calls, when bad news floods in and puts your life in upheaval. I don't take this lightly. Tragedy strikes everyone from time to time.

But not here, not last night. PRAISE THE LORD.

I woke up this morning, knowing that...
My wife is here, about to fix breakfast,
My children and grandchildren are here (with me in this world), preparing for another day of opportunity with Jesus.

We all suffer loss of loved ones from time to time. There comes a time when we all wake up to the sound of silence, where there had been life and activity and laughter and love. Unless Jesus comes back in my lifetime, I will probably go through that heart rending, gut wrenching sorrow of losing a loved one, but today, I have been spared the agony. God is so good.

For those who are suffering the emptiness left by a recently departed one and for those who are facing desperate and uncertain days, remember, "though I (you) walk through the valley of death, I (you) will fear no evil, for Thou are with me (you). And God promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
Bless the Lord at all times and forget not all His benefits.
