If you ever get caught in the grip of quicksand, do not panic, do not act on impulse, it may cost you your life. Flailing about will cause you to sink deeper and faster.
I watch people react in panic or dispair when they are caught in the circumstances of life, whether it is a maelstrom or pluff mud. Sudden and violent struggle only exacerbates the problem.
Quickly realize that you need to relax. Do not abandon patience simply because you cannot escape your dilemma.
God knows where you are and what you are facing. He will not fail or neglect you in time of trouble. He may not rescue you on your terms or when you want it, but He will not leave you.
Remember, He has a plan and a schedule.
Romans 5:3-5
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 8:28
28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
James 1:2-4
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Faith is trust in time of trial.

Faith will rest in time of trial.
