Death is not the only event that can seal the sinners doom. If, at this present time, a person is resisting the gospel and does not surrender to Jesus, and then the rapture takes place, that person's eternal separation from God is sealed.
While there will be people saved during the tribulation, it will not include people who have heard and rejected Christ. There will not be a fire escape for those who are counting on a second chance after the rapture.
If you won't get saved now, you won't get saved then.
Now is the accepted time.
Today is the day of salvation.
