11/07/14 FILLING CUP OF INIQUITY

11/07/14 FILLING CUP OF INIQUITY

All sin separates from God, but not all sin is equal, as it relates this life. It is sinful to hate someone secretly, but it is worse to accost them verbally, and it is still worse to assault them physically. A person needs to seek forgiveness and cleansing from all sins in this life, but we must be careful that we do not accept the violent, perverse and abominable sins of some people by saying that there are other people who harbor private, unobtrusive personal sins.

Again, all sin separates from God, but you can tell how far a person or a nation has moved from God by the level of their wickedness. Remember what the Bible says about the days of Noah.
Genesis 6:5
(5) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:11-13
(11) The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
(12) And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
(13) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

There is such a thing as a person or a nation, "filling their cup of iniquity." It starts with dribbles and drabs, but after the free flow of pollution fills the heart, mind, life, behavior with filth and corruption, there is no coming back to God. The more despicable and damning sins are called, "abominations." There has always been sin in men and in society, but today we are seeing the filling of the cup and societies approval of that which God calls abominable.

Another thing to notice is that the more sin fills a vessel, the faster the sin flows into the vessel, like a sinking ship. The general mind set and behavior of today's society indicates that the point of no return is about to take place. The the flood is something from which most people are unable to escape, like a giant avalanche or a monster tsunami.

Don't think you can call on Him when you have had your fill of self and sin. By that time you will be less inclined to accept the grace of God than you were earlier in your life.
