11/04/14 BEING SALT IN A ROTTEN WORLD

11/04/14 BEING SALT IN A ROTTEN WORLD

Voting does not always accomplish what you want it to accomplish (though sometimes it does). However, voting sometimes averts what you don't want to happen (though sometimes it does not).

Voting issues is important, but remember, voting people is what can bring the issues to the ballot box. Voting people is not necessarily endorsing the entire platform of the person you vote for; but sometimes it is an attempt to stem the tide of a more destructive, or a more present flood of wickedness. Even so, sometimes our only choice is "between the devil and the deep blue sea," which is no choice at all.

Voting will not save America. However, voting may be a way that God allows Christians to be salt in a very corrupt society.

I cannot, would not, condemn a person for doing what he believes is pleasing to God (concerning elections), neither would I count on the ballot box for my safety or freedom (though I would rather see ballots than bullets).

After the counting or the miscounting, we must still obey God rather than men. We must still preach the Kingdom of God, rather than the kingdoms of this world. We must be totally sold out to the King of kings and not servants to the kings of this world.

God help America, God help our world. Which should be followed with these words, "Lord, here am I, send me."
