10/12/14 NO SUCCESS WITHOUT JESUS
There are people (on very rare occasions), who take themselves by the scruff of the neck, and choose to do the "right thing," without surrendering to, or following, Jesus. But after they have done their best, they are still without hope in this world. Their attempt at "goodness" is as futile as trying to reach heaven by jumping as hard as they can. Some people jump and jump and jump on sinking sand, burying themselves deeper by each failed attempt.
The answer is not in our own efforts, but in Jesus, Who died and rose again to save us, rescue us, deliver us from our sins. He will lift us from sinking sand, transport us to heavenly places and raise us to life everlasting.
