09/07/14 What if This is a post

09/07/14 What if This is a post
(or an activity)

Okay, this is a little different, even for me. While this could be helpful to everyone, not everyone is going to be interested. I will join QUESTIONS with ANSWERS in one sentence. It is a basic Catechism (introduction to Church/Bible teachings). I just figured that this would be a good time for folks to know these truths. I will start the sentence as a Question, but finish the sentence as the Answer. The entire sentence is the question, but the answer is at the end of each sentence.
For instance...
What if This is a sentence.

The Question is, "What if this is a sentence." But the last part is also the answer. "This is a sentence."
I hope you think about the questions and then accept the answers. I hope you enjoy.

I did not include question marks on purpose. Since this is a special format, I just end the sentences with a period. Don't worry about the punctuation, it is not important.

What if There really is a God.
What if The Bible is God's revelation of Himself and His plan for us.
What if The Bible is the only revelation of God's will and way for us.
What if God created us.
What if Everyone has sinned.
What if Sin separates us from God.
What if God provides deliverance from sin's penalty, power and pollution.
What if God's deliverance is through His Son, Jesus Christ.
What if Faith, Repentance and Confession are essential to our salvation.
What if Jesus is the only way to God.
What if God sets a moral and spiritual standard for us.
What if Judgment awaits those who refuse to follow Christ.
What if There is a hell.
What if I will live forever, either in torment or in triumph with God.
What if Jesus did die for our sins.
What if Jesus rose from the dead.
What if Jesus is coming back.

Passages and comments can be added, and other Q/A can be given, for those who want to do a study for your own children or youth group.

I was thinking it would be a good subject for any group. Discussion could begin with the "What if," part (the question). The participants reflect and then share their own thoughts. "WHAT IF" reveals how important each point is.

Also, if a person does not believe the premises, then what difference does it make if they are wrong. For instance, Mr. A Theist says there is no God, but get Mr. A Theist to speculate the ramifications if THERE IS A GOD. Each question has its own importance.

This could even be put on paper, and given to people to respond at their own leisure. In fact, these questions would be good for almost anyone to address, even if they do not have to share their personal thoughts with anyone else.

Anyway, just some thoughts that someone might find interesting.
