I have bitter/sweet response to a program designed to get preachers to preach the truth from their pulpits on a special Sunday during the year, regardless of the political or governmental or financial consequences.
The bitter response is disgust that the pastors of our country have sold their birthright for a 501c3. No wonder our country is in spiritual, moral, social trouble. They have become hirelings for the State. They have denied the Christ Who bought them.
The sweet response is rejoicing over the fact that finally some of these men will do the right thing, albeit late in the game. Maybe some will truly repent and follow God fully, from this time forward.
If it does not lead to ALWAYS preaching the truth, as GOD'S messenger, rather than an agent of the State, then this special Sunday is a sham and an exercise in futility.
However, even if pastors begin to say what they were called to say, which is preach God's word, in the face of political oppression, there is still the issue of each one DOING WHAT GOD WANTS THEM TO DO. Words are cheap, when they are not backed up by action. Pastors need to WALK THE TALK and they need to lead their churches into the bowls of hell, in the name of Jesus, because the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against them.
