Sadly, there is a "Cowboy Mentality" within law enforcement that genders a "we/them" attitude, resulting in bullying, discrimination (not just racial), arrogance, oppression and criminal cover-up. Bad eggs are bad eggs whether they are cops or not.
"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." This is true in government: when government is unchecked and unrestrained, it crushes the citizenry. This is also true with racism (of every color); and obviously true with criminals, who are given greater latitude by the legal system than the good citizens are given.
The differences in cultures (black opposed to white), political agendas (law abiding opposed to "progressive"), religious freedoms (Christian opposed to any other), cannot be discussed openly in our society. As a result, solutions to problems cannot be discovered or implemented.
True justice and true peace are only found in a Christ centered world. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
