08/12/14 YAZIDI IS NOT CHRISTIANITY

SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST ALONE
Jesus has provided eternal life to whoever will receive Him as Lord (Master, God, King) yet people continue to live in resistance to the will and rule of God, and then they think that when they die, God is going to welcome them into His presence forever.

Also notice how people (without a Biblical understanding) tend to think that the people they like (whether thy are acquainted or not) are going to heaven, but the people they hate (whether they are acquainted or not) are not going to heaven.

I would like for everyone to go to heaven, but it ain't hap'nin. God would like for everyone to go to heaven, but it ain't hap'nin. God provides salvation, but He allows us to choose our own Lord. Only those who choose Christ as Lord will be saved.

There is only one way to eternal life and it is through saving faith in Christ Jesus.

Kwik Note on the Yazidi.

The Yazidi is the Kurdish religious group, which was being attacked by ISIS forces (the most vicious and aggressive terrorists today), and was mentioned by Obama as a reason for finally mobilizing humanitarian aid and military action against ISIS, which Obama had labeled as a "Junior Varsity" level group, while others were pointing out the extreme danger they posed.

Yazidi is a Kurdish sect of Zoroastrianism ("Z" in this article), an ancient Persian (Iranian) religion. "Z" is a syncretistic hybrid of polytheism and monotheism, paganism and Judaism, myth and truth. The original source of "Z" is thought to be Zoroaster (Zarathustra), who can be traced to about 600 BC (though some say 1200 BC), and the Avesta is their scriptures.

"Z" mentions monotheism, angels, resurrection. However, the Jewish Scriptures, which are older and more historically verifiable, introduced these and other doctrines, as God gave direction to Old Testament writers. Judaism and Christianity did not spring from "Z", but rather, "Z" took from the Jewish prophets and mixed it with pagan beliefs. Remember, Judah was in captivity to Babylon about the same time as Zoroaster.

The Yazidi have recognized one of the "Z" angels as a god. This particular angel was a fallen angel, who supposedly became good (similar to Luciferianism), and therefor Yazidi has been viewed as a Satan worshiping religion by some groups, including Islam. This has led to Muslim persecution of the Yazidi. Of course, Islam also considers Jews and Christians to be infidels, resulting in persecution.

Bottom line... While it is true that ISIS is persecuting Yazidi, it is also persecuting Christianity. However, the Yazidi problem seemed to get a quicker and clearer response from Obama in this one instance than Christians and Jews have gotten over a longer period of time.

Obama is quicker to help Muslims and other groups or individuals than he is to help Christians and Jews (which is like pulling teeth).

This is bare bones info. It can be fleshed out with documentation, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.
