07/25/14 HOLDING GREAT POWER IN YOUR HANDS

Being at one with the source of power.

There is a great sense of power when you hold the wheel and press the accelerator of a 500 hp sports car; or when you pilot a SR-71 Blackbird at almost 2,200 mph or climb in a sustained flight to almost 30 miles; or when you command the bridge of the aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt, which is almost 1,100 feet long, towering 20 stories above her waterline, traveling almost 35 mph, with a crew of 6,000 (+-), carrying 90+ fixed winged aircraft. But my guess is, you will not likely do any of these, much less all of these.

HOWEVER, we all can hold in our hands a power that is greater than any and all of the above.

Pick up your Bible. No, really. Take it in your hands and remember that this is the word of God, with greater power than any man made force in the world. If you don't have a sense of the power of God's word, then you need to spend time in it, and allow it to spend time in you and then you need to explore it, use it, become familiar with it and learn how to wield it. Wow, what power.
