07/15/14 A DRUNKEN AUDIENCE WOULD APPROVE

ok, ok, ok, we all know I am nuts and extreme, but c'mon people, Leaning On The Everlasting Arms as the background music to Guinness Beer commercial. Of course, it was during the World Cup, which appeals to a world that believes in drinking beer more than it believes in Christ.

But this is a sign of the times. People have no problem with using a Christian song to promote a product that destroys individuals, families and entire societies. Guinness has not saved anyone, transformed anyone into a godly person, rescued any fallen society, but Jesus has, Jesus does and only Jesus can.

Do not tell me what the commercial was trying to say. What it did say, through the choice of music, is an association of Divine support related to an alcoholic beverage. Yes, you can drink if you choose to drink, but what is next, Amazing Grace sung as they advertise the Mustang Ranch?

If this kind of use of Christian music/message does not bother you, then it is because you are so far gone that you cannot think clearly, or because you have consumed so much beer you cannot think clearly. C'mon, you don't have to defend beer.
