There are those who have been betting and hoping against the literal view of the Bible for decades. But now it is beginning to look a little dicey for them; their hopes are about to be dashed and their bets are about to be called-in. It really is time to wake up.
Romans 131-14
(11) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
(12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
(13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
(14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
"Crazies," like me, have been saying for years...
We are presently living during a period of God's grace, but there is coming a time when God will judge the world in a series of judgments:
*God's judgments will increase and intensify as the world's cup of iniquity is filled, then will come...
*The tribulation (after the rapture of the Church),
*The return of Christ (judgment of the nations),
*The final conflict (the earth destroyed by fire),
*The Great White Throne Judgment (all sinners judged according to their deeds).
This principle in Proverbs is true for both individuals and nations.
Proverbs 6:15-19
(15) Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
(16) These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
(17) A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
(18) An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
(19) A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 29:1-2
(1) He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
(2) When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
The bad news is, regardless how bad it gets, it is going to get worse until the rapture.
THEN, no matter how much worse it gets for those who were not following Jesus fully before the rapture, it will get worse and worse until Jesus comes.
However, the return of Christ will not be good news for those who rejected Christ before the rapture, or for those who reject Christ during the Great Tribulation. His return will simply end all hope for them, forever, and you can bet on that.
In the days ahead, Christians will be as lambs led to slaughter. Christians, (real Christians) do not avenge themselves, but we hope that our enemies will repent while they have the opportunity; then comes God's judgment.
Hebrews 10:30-31
(30) For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
(31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Unless things change quickly (and I don't think they will), we will see the fulfilling of this warning from Psalms.
Psalms 2:1-5
(1) Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
(2) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
(3) Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
(4) He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
(5) Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
