07/10/14 LIGHTNING DOES STRIKE TWICE

I was talking to some grandbuddies about the danger of lightning zapping electrical appliances during a storm. I told them about two separate times, many years ago, when lightning struck and zapped two different coffee pots plugged into the same outlet at my grandparent's house, causing a small fire in the kitchen. Both times the coffee pot was turned on during an electrical storm.

We use the phrase, "lightning striking" in reference to bad things happening. But usually lightning does not strike the same place or person twice. However, if the conditions exist, then it can happen.

If we choose to live in a way that attracts bad things, then bad things will happen to us repeatedly. Living the Christian life protects us from Satanic attacks that come to those who choose to live in sin. Testing and trials will come but they will not be self inflicted.

Proverbs 13:15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
