07/05/14 TOO BIG FOR THEIR BRITCHES

07/05/14 TOO BIG FOR THEIR BRITCHES

The problem is not that each generation thinks it must reinvent the wheel, but rather, it has to rediscover why it needs a wheel. In other words, it does not take seriously the older point of view, regardless of how well substantiated it is. They brush it off by calling it, "Old School."

I continue to learn things (at 67) through personal experience that I should have been taught by wise counselors. But, sadly, I did not have the teachers, either because they did not know or did not tell.

The problem with learning through experience is that the knowledge often comes too late to use. But then you can't share it because know-it-all younger people won't listen to sage advice.

It is heart breaking to watch others make unnecessary and destructive bad choices, instead of surviving and thriving by listening and learning.

It is a sad thing to die with your treasure chest full because others would not allow you to enrich them with your wealth.
