A person's politics (economics, amusements, habits and associates) should be guided by Biblical standards, since the Bible is the revealed and authoritative word of God. We are not talking about establishing a Theocratic rule, since the presence of an earthly kingdom of God will require the presence of the King, and that will not happen until Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom after the Tribulation.
Individuals who want to be in a right relationship with the King of the universe must obey the revealed will of God. We cannot legitimately call Jesus, "Lord" while we are disobeying Him. We are servants to that which we obey. We cannot serve both God and some other pretender to the throne. Either we will live under God's rule or we will live in opposition to God's rule. We will not be saved because we live a life of obedience, but if we are saved, we will live a life of obedience.
We can either live for the present age, which will end in failure and fire.
Or we can live for a future and eternal kingdom, under the Lordship of Christ.
Or we can live for a future, but futile kingdom, in submission to a false god (such as Islam).
We have the choice.
Remember the words of Joshua to Israel, in reference to following the false gods of the Mideast;
Joshua 24:15
(15) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
