Sadly, there are few Christians who actually go on to perfection. They either stop surrendering to, and following Christ after they are born again, or after they are purified and filled by the Holy Spirit. They think that a legal or purifying encounter with God exempts them from daily steps that conform them to the image and likeness of Christ.
People need to find someone they trust, as mature and wise Christians, and ask them for godly counsel. Then they must be willing to make changes in attitude, behavior and course setting.
It requires humility, desire and commitment.
