05/22/14 TO PRAISE OR TO COMPLAIN?

05/22/14 TO PRAISE OR TO COMPLAIN?

Think about it...
Are Christians victorious because
they praise and don't complain, or do they praise and not complain because they are victorious Christians?

How strange...
I have seen people who profess faith, complain when they are abundantly blessed.
I have seen people of faith, praise when they are in the valley of the shadow of death.

Why we we praise or complain...
Praise and complaining does not happen because of one's temperament or circumstances.

Praise happens because of our living relationship with God.
Complaining happens because of our broken relationship with God.

If we are trusting God, we praise Him in the sunshine and the storm.
If we are not trusting Him, we complain in the storm and the sunshine.

The origin of praise and complaining...
Praise springs
up from faith.
Grumbling, complaining and whining spews out of doubt and defeat.

Here are four reasons should we praise...
First, God deserves our honor and glory.
Second, we need to be people of praise.
Third, other believers need to hear us praising in times of trial as well as in times of triumph.
Fourth, the unsaved need to see power, joy and victory in men and women of faith.
