02/18/14 SHOULD BE COMMON GROUND

Have you ever looked at someone and thought, "Man, if you would just clean yourself up and ditch the negative attitude, you would go so much further." As a messenger of God's good news I have the same kind of thoughts about some really cool people.

I realize that folks don't agree with my beliefs or way of life. But what I am talking about is a loving and submissive relationship with our Creator and Redeemer. It has never hurt anyone to enter into a love relationship with God and a personal experience with God's Son, Jesus Christ.

Remember, I am not talking about a person becoming a religious zealot or a self made goody two shoes. I am talking about people receiving God into their lives and allowing Him to fill them with love and kindness and dignity and joy.

When Jesus comes into a life, He only improves it. Unfortunately, Christ has gotten a lot of bad press from society. But really, who would not want to go heaven and who would not want to have the beauty of Jesus shine brightly in the lives of our loved ones?

You may see me as a Bible nut, but all I want for my friends is the fullest blessing of God in their lives. In order to be all that God wants us to be, we must be willing to follow Him fully and leave behind the things that demean and devalue our lives.
