There are GIANTS in the land, men of GREATNESS (not to be confused with GOODNESS, though greatness and goodness can be found in the same person). God has given man the authority (ability) to attain to greatness (as in, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, authority, influence, possessions, courage, strength), which can be used for bad (worldliness) or good (godliness), as decided by the individual.
Attaining to worldly greatness is an exercise in human determination and often aided by demons. Attaining to godly greatness is an exercise in faith and only aided by the Holy Spirit. It is more appealing to the carnal man to be a giant in worldly matters than spiritual matters. It is easy to find GIANTS in the land of the lost, and difficult to find GIANTS in the land of the living.
It is possible, though rare, to find godly giants, even in an environment conducive to spiritual greatness.
It is even rarer, but possible, to find godly giants in an environment that is hostile to spiritual greatness.
It is not rare to find worldly giants, even in an an environment that is conducive to spiritual greatness.
It is easy to find worldly giants in the worldly environment of Secular Humanism and Paganism (the people of Babel, for instance).
Today the land is thick with worldly giants, while godly giants are scarce, and mediocrity and failure runs rampant. You determine what you will do with the authority and ability and life that God has given you. Will you be mediocre, a failure, a worldly giant or a godly giant?
Matthew 20:25-28
(25) But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
(26) But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
(27) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
(28) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
