01/08/14 HONESTLY NOW

01/08/14 HONESTLY NOW

Okay, the next four paragraphs are somewhat redundant and you may want to just skip to the last paragraph (or just skip the whole post), but please don't. I think the reading of each point helps us see the issue more clearly. Also, it really won't take you that long. But be sure to read the last paragraph with these others in mind.

I. If a child molester gets saved, does that mean...
A. He/she is forgiven for previous, present and future child molestation, because it is all paid for.
B. He/she stops molesting children as a practice, but there are occasional occurrences, since he/she cannot stop all sinning.
C. He/she almost never molests children any more. Months or years may intervene between episodes.
D. HE/SHE QUITS MOLESTING. PERIOD. No loopholes, no exceptions, no excuses.

II. If a druggie gets saved, does that mean...
A. He/she is forgiven for previous, present and future drugging, because it is all paid for.
B. He/she stops doing drugs as a practice, but there are occasional occurrences, since he/she cannot stop all sinning.
C. He/she almost never does drugs any more. Months or years may intervene between episodes.
D. HE/SHE QUITS DOING DRUGS. PERIOD. No loopholes, no exceptions, no excuses.

III. If an adulterous spouse gets saved, does that mean...
A. He/she is forgiven for previous, present and future infidelity, because it is all paid for.
B. He/she stops infidelity as a practice, but there are occasional occurrences, since he/she cannot stop all sinning.
C. He/she almost never sleeps around any more. Months or years may intervene between episodes.
D. HE/SHE QUITS ADULTERY. PERIOD. No loopholes, no exceptions, no excuses.

IV. If a violent, physically abusive or murderous person gets saved, does that mean...
A. He/she is forgiven for previous, present and future violence, abuse, or murder, because it is all paid for.
B. He/she stops violent attacks, physical abuse or murder as a practice, but there are occasional occurrences, since he/she cannot stop all sinning.
C. He/she almost never violently attacks, physically abuses or murders any more. Months or years may intervene between episodes.
D. HE/SHE QUITS VIOLENT ATTACKS, PHYSICAL ABUSE OR MURDER. PERIOD. No loopholes, no exceptions, no excuses.

V. Now, if we expect, and if it is possible for a person who is held captive by the aforementioned sins, to be saved from committing them again, then WHY ISN'T IT REASONABLE FOR PEOPLE TO QUIT LESS HORRIFIC AND LESS POWERFUL SINS? We can, by the power and grace of God. It takes no grace and no power of God to sin.
